It's hard to think about, those young men and women across the ocean, living in conditions far removed from our own comfortable homes. My life is filled with many veteran's, on both sides of my family. I truly honor and respect those who have fought for the freedoms we enjoy, and find them truly remarkable when they willingly fight to provide these same rights and privileges in behalf of other countries.
On this day, take a few minutes out to remember the veteran's in your own family or circle of friends. Visit gravesites if possible. Find some way to honor their memories. If they are still alive, give them a sincere offer of gratitude.
It's the least we can do.
